Many moms are torn between working outside the home and balancing family life. I often speak to other moms that want to achieve what they perceive to be “the elusive dream” – the freedom to make money from home while still being able to care for their family’s needs. I often hear statements like “If I could just find something where I could earn extra income for my family but still have time to enjoy being a mom…”  Whenever I hear another mom make a comment like this, I share my experience with network marketing. Of course, I am a bit biased but in my opinion network marketing is an ideal home-based business for moms.

1) *FLEXIBILITY*. I cannot emphasize this enough. Having a flexible work schedule is so valuable when raising a family. YOU are your own boss.  YOU choose when and how much you work. YOU have the freedom to schedule your work so you have time for the things that are most important to you, whether it’s attending your child’s school functions or sharing a family meal together.

2) *YOU DETERMINE YOUR OWN SUCCESS.* As a former member of Corporate America for a decade, it’s not always the case that you are   for your efforts. With network marketing, you are the direct beneficiary of the work you put into it. Like any business, network marketing takes time, effort and hard work, but you will see the direct financial result of your efforts – which I find extremely rewarding!

3) *HELPING OTHERS ACHIEVE SUCCESS.* Moms intrinsically want to help others – it’s in our nature to nurture and want to see others succeed. Network marketing offers the opportunity to build and lead a successful team. The opportunity to help others be successful is extremely rewarding and something I truly enjoy about my home-based business.

There are plenty of opportunities to work from home – just Google it and you will find hundreds of ads. The challenge is wading through these ads to figure out what is real and what is a scam.
