GoHYHO stands for “Go Help Yourself, Help Others.” As I was asked to review GoHYHO.com, I wasn’t really sure what this site was about. After reading their press release, I am now very eager for this site to expand to the Houston area so I can be a part! I love the social deal sites where you can save money by purchasing deal coupons up front at a discounted price. I subscribe to these deal sites and browse their deals daily so that I don’t miss out on deals in my town. I purchase my favorite deals, print them out and wait to cash them in. That is it, I get my deal, the coupon site gets my money, end of relationship until I purchase again.
GoHYHO.com allows me to subscribe to their deals so I can stay updated and also helps me donate to a local nonprofit organization with each purchase I make through GoHYHO.com. I donate to charities which help children when I can, but with GoHYHO.com, I can donate at no extra cost. I buy the deal, GoHYHo.com lets me choose which nonprofit organization I’d like to help out and 10% of GoHYHO’s earnings from my sale go to the charity of my choice! Better yet, the relationship doesn’t end there! GoHYHO.com and the chosen nonprofit organization will provide updates on how your donation was used to impact your community.
Right now GoHYHO.com is offering deals to Dallas, Texas and deals to Chicago, Illinois. If you live in that area or go there on business please check out this site and purchase a few deals you could use in Dallas or Chicago. Once on GoHYHO.com you can choose which town you would like to purchase deals for. Even if you don’t plan on buying a deal today, go ahead and subscribe to the site so you can begin watching these deals until you find the ones that will work with your family. You can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook in order to keep updated with deals in the Dallas area and Chicago deals.
Here’s an example of a Chicago Deal that I would be interested in buying:
$35 for Five Group Fitness Classes at GoTime Chicago valued at $75, with a 53% savings and $3.50 would go to the nonprofit organization of my choice. I could personally save with this deal and donate at the same time!
Every few months, new nonprofit partners will be added to GoHYHO’s list. If you were to purchase deals in Chicago, 10% of your GyHYHO.com purchases could go to support nonprofit organizations such as:
Golden Apple Foundation – This foundation works to inspire, develop and support teacher excellence in Illinois, particularly in needy schools.
YWCA – Provides services that allow women to empower both themselves and their communities.
Shedd Aquarium – Dedicated to animals, their habitats and the planet.
Chicago Children’s Theater – Serves youth and families with dynamic productions featuring some of the city’s finest award winning theater artists.
SitSayRead – Literacy organization in the U.S. which uses dogs to improve reading fluency, make reading fun and inspire children to become lifelong readers.
The Dallas area offers donations to nonprofits such as: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Samaritan Inn, and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
