Make Christmas Photo Ornaments A Tradition

Every year the kids and I visit Santa at the mall for pictures.  We take the wallet sized prints and put them inside photo Christmas ornaments.  We do this every year, so when we decorate our tree, we see all the pictures of the kids with Santa throughout the years.   Everyone loves these ornaments, so we make one for each child so they can have them when they have families of their own.  We also make one of these ornaments for the grandparents.  As the kids get older, we may not always visit Santa for our special Christmas pictures, but we’ll keep making these ornaments throughout the years to preserve our priceless memories.

We also use these Santa wallet sized pictures inside our Christmas cards.  Most of my Christmas cards are sent to people who we don’t see very often and they look forward to seeing our Santa pictures each year.  I like to match my children’s clothing for the pictures, but since they are six years apart, the oldest doesn’t like the idea of wearing the exact clothing.  We try to stay away from red shirts, since Santa’s backdrop and clothing are also red.  I think it’s better to stand out from Santa instead of blend in with his red suit!

Speaking of photo ornaments, check out this Christmas card design!  I love it, you could even hang it on your tree instead of taping it on the door facing, or edge of the kitchen island / breakfast bar like I do with all the cards I receive.  You can also find other great Christmas Cards to choose from without making a trip to the store.  Have you ever bought your cards online, or would you rather pick them up at the store?  Since my children do not care for shopping, I try to make most of my purchases online unless I need to buy items that I need to try on or would cost too much to ship.
