BlogWithMom Week 21 Weight Watchers Plan

It’s Monday again, time for me to tell you about last week’s progress with my Weight Watchers Plan. It has been 21 week’s since I started the Weight Watcher’s Points Plus Program.  I had my Christmas Party last week that I had wanted to lose weight before attending.  I enjoyed myself the night of the party and ate a piece of pie, plus my son’s piece of cake!  The day before we had made 2 batches of my favorite peanut butter fudge for the teachers and I think that I ate 1/4 of it before starting to feel uneasy at my stomach.  My favorite time of the year is here, what I can say!  Every year I gain 15 to 20 pounds over the holidays, no joke!  To say that I’ve only gained 5 pounds so far, I consider that to be success.  As a child, I can remember my mother making fudge and candy throughout the holidays.  I remember those Super Shooter peanut butter cookies, cookie cutter decorated sugar cookies, chocolate covered marshallow-peanut clumps on wax paper…..  The list goes on and on!  My mother died of cancer right after I graduated from high school.  I miss her and think of her the most over the holidays while I am cooking away in the kitchen and eating every bit of it!  This is a part of the holidays that I love the most and I will continue to do this every year as a holiday tradition.  With that being said, I know I will gain weight over the next week, but hopefully I can keep my weight gain under 10 pounds this year!

In order to balance out my eating and still enjoy the holidays, I am using my Weight Watcher’s knowledge to make wise meal choices that fit around my plans for numerous Christmas goodies later on this week!  I eat low point breakfasts and lunches from the house and eat plenty of mini marshmallows when I feel the need to eat late at night.  Exercise would definitely help, but I haven’t even finished Christmas shopping, so I do not see any extra time for neighborhood walks anytime soon.

Weight Watchers does work when you follow the plan.  It also teaches you how to make wise meal decisions.  Let me get through the holidays and I’ll show you how Weight Watcher’s can quickly help you drop those extra pounds.  For now, I am getting together the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies, more peanut butter fudge, pineapple upside down cake for my husband’s birthday and don’t forget the sugar cookies for Santa!

If diet plans are in your future, I’d suggest signing up for Weight Watchers Online now so you can start studying the plan and getting your cabinets stocked full of better choices and cleared out of the foods you’d rather stay away from for awhile before you start dieting.  When I first started Weight Watchers we decided to eat everything out of the cabinets and then buy healthier choices the next time around.  We swapped  brands of milk, butter, lunch meat & etc.  We also became very fond of Nature’s Own, Fiber One, Special K and Kashi brands.
