WooHoo, I stood on the scale today and I’ve lost 2 of the 5 pounds I gained over the holiday gorging myself in every dessert I could get my hands on! In order to make it through Christmas, with my love for Peanut Butter Fudge, I have to watch my diet and at least drop the Thanksgiving pounds before adding any more weight on!
Here’s what I ate for breakfast this morning :
I made Quick 1 Minute Quaker Oatmeal by measuring out 1/2 dry before cooking. After it was done, I added 1 tablespoon sugar and a few shakes of Molly McButter sprinkles.
So far, I’m off to a good start today. If you are interested in trying your hand at Weight Watchers, you need to:
- Join Weight Watchers Online
- Study the Weight Watchers Program by checking all the points values of the foods you currently eat in order to eliminate or add new foods to your diet
- Always keep a Weight Watcher’s Points Plus Calculator
in your kitchen and in your purse to use in calculating points plus values quickly from food labels.
When I first started Weight Watchers, I was eating a packet of Pop Tarts every morning for breakfast. After studying the points plus values, I found out that the packet of Pop Tarts was almost half of the points that I was supposed to eat ALL day long! There are now Low-fat Pop Tarts, which my kids eat, but I’ve switched over to oatmeal, granola bars, or cereal for my breakfast choices.
As for the Points Plus Calculator, I use this on a daily basis and I would be lost without it. I like to try different foods from the grocery and need to calculate their points plus values. I write the points on the food boxes with a marker, before long, you’ll have the points memorized for your favorite foods. Keeping another calculator in your purse will help you make your food choices while at the grocery. I buy lots of items that are 100 or 90 calorie packs. They make quick snacks when I’m on the go. Face it, if I am running errands and do not have a snack with me, I will find myself pulling up to a drive thru!
*Weight Watchers works because it’s not a diet. You’ll learn how to eat right and live healthy. You can choose between two convenient options to learn how to lose weight and keep it off.
