Would You Like To “Erase” Your Stretch Marks?

Nobody likes stretchmarks and unfortunately if you have had a child, you probably have a few stretch marks of your own.  My first pregnancy, I worried about the stretch marks and used lotion on my belly every day just knowing that I was doing what was necessary to avoid “keeping” my pregnancy stretch marks.  Guess what, it didn’t work and the stretch marks stayed.  I used a few products right after having my son and then decided I had other priorities and forgot about them.  I gained at least 60 pounds during each of my pregnancies and stretch marks were sure to follow that type of weight gain.

My oldest is now 11 and stretch marks are still there, but I figure that my husband knows what caused them, so we’ll just call them “Lines of Love.”  I love my children and don’t mind carrying around a few stretch marks as memories of my pregnancy with each child.  But every once in awhile, I find myself wondering how to get rid of stretch marks once you’ve had them for so long.  Is there a point where you’ve just waited too long, or can I still get rid of these marks if I wanted to.  Every night I wash my face and use special face cream, why not take a few more minutes and start focusing on my stretch marks again.  I don’t plan on wearing a bikini anytime soon, but it would be nice to “erase” my stretch marks if it could be easily done.

What types of creams or stretch mark treatments have you tried?  Do your stretch marks bother you or do you even think about them?  I really don’t think about my stretch marks unless I am in the shower or happen to catch a glimpse of them in the mirror.  Maybe now that my children are getting older, I should focus on myself a little more.  What do you think?

  1. When I was doing my post for howtogetridofanything.com about how to get rid of cellulite I found out that stretch mark and cellulite were actually a bit different and there is no cream to cure. Reducing maybe. But that was my finding 🙂 I myself have given up on my stretch marks…sigh…
