Fruit and nut bars make the perfect breakfast snack. They are also great snacks for in between meals that help me get my “sweet fix” in a healthy way. I have noticed that Quaker is now offering a Quaker Soft Baked Bar which is available in Cinnamon Pecan Bread and Banana Nut Bread flavors. The nutritional information for these bars is perfect for my Weight Watchers personal weight loss plan with each bar containing 140 calories, 5g of Fiber and 6g of Protein. Both Cinnamon Pecan Bread and Banana Nut Bread sound great and would be even better warmed up in the microwave. Actually, I’d need to buy a few of these because my husband also enjoys fruit and nut bars. We both love sweets and find these bars to be a wholesome food that is much healthier than many other snack choices that “draw” me in. Since it is so hot in Texas over the Summer, I can even leave a few of these bars in my car and they will be warm and ready for me when I’m on the go.
