5 Tips To Choosing The Right Pair Of Sunglasses

My husband has to have his sunglasses throughout the day.  His eyes are sensitive, and he needs the protection from the sun.  I hardly ever wear sunglasses.  My eyes aren’t very sensitive to the sun so I don’t worry much about having a pair of sunglasses with me all the time. I wanted to share the following guest post that was sent in to me today.  After reading through it, I see that sunglasses are important for your eyes and should be used for protection and not just to achieve that special “look.”

Have you thought about how important sunglasses are?  They not only protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, but are an important accessory for your day to day attire.  If you find yourself in the situation where you are looking for the right pair of sunglasses, but don’t know what to look for then you no longer need to worry.  Finding the right glasses doesn’t have to be a daunting task.  The good news is that by utilizing the following tips you can find the right sunglasses to look like the ultimate you.

1.  One of the biggest factors that an individual takes into account when choosing sunglasses is cost.  Remember, finding a pair of discount sunglasses, does not mean they have to be cheap sunglasses.  Luckily there are sunglasses available to fit just about every budget.  It is important to note that since sunglasses are an important part of protecting your eyes from the sun you should aim to buy a pair that offers good UV protection even if they cost more.  To make picking out sunglasses easier, you should decide on how much you want to spend on them beforehand so that you don’t waste your time looking at sunglasses that you can’t afford.

2.  Lenses are equally important when it comes to choosing sunglasses.  There are many different types of lenses to choose from such as those that are impact or glare resistant.  Make sure you pick lenses that suit your lifestyle.

3.  Unlike glasses of the past there are many frame choices.  Some glasses even are frameless meaning the lenses are mounted directly to the bridge piece or temples.  When choosing frames, pick a pair that are not too large or small for your face and will highlight your best features such as your cheekbones or face shape.

4.  It is important to take into account the quality of the sunglasses you are wanting to purchase.  For those that change glasses often, usually to match their outfit, it is perfectly acceptable to choose a lesser quality of glasses since they will not be getting much wear. Individuals that tend to wear the same glasses daily should choose a higher quality pair.  More money will have to be spent upfront, but in the long run the sunglasses will not have to be replaced as often and the individual will end up saving money in the end.

5.  When choosing what color sunglasses to get, make sure you pick ones that will compliment your skin tone and hair color.  For example, for those that have light hair and light skin dark sunglasses may make the individual look washed out and may not be the best choice overall.  Also, red-heads should choose not red sunglasses or those with an orange undertone because it may make their hair and glasses clash.  Those with dark hair or skin should choose bright sunglasses so that they will complement their hair or skin color.

In conclusion, finding sunglasses that look great on you doesn’t have to be that difficult.  By keeping the above tips in mind you can take all of the guesswork out of picking the right sunglasses.  Afterall, sunglasses can not only make you look trendy or fashionable, but they can make or break your attire.
