#Win Almondina Biscuits: Healthy & Great Tasting ENDS 11/16

Have you ever heard of Almondina.com?  I like to review healthy snacks and was given Almondina Biscuit samples in order to facilitate my review / giveaway.   When the box came, it read “Almondina Biscuits” but I refer to them as Almondina thin cookies.  I watch my calorie, fat and fiber intake in order to count my Weight Watchers points.  I was very pleased with the taste and the nutritional info for the Almondina Biscuits.  The serving size is 4 cookies which is just right and for me, perfect for my Weight Watchers plan.  My favorite flavor was the original Almond Biscuits which had 133 calories, 3.9 g fat, 1 Fiber for 4 cookies.  I have checked the nutritional content on all the packages and they are all very similar, with the same Weight Watchers point values and serving sizes.

Here’s the Choconut Almond and Chocolate Biscuits.  I liked all the flavors, but liked the lighter colored cookies the best.  This is not due to this brand, but is also true of any cookie I eat.  If you gave me a choice between a chocolate cookie or a sugar cookie, I’ll always choice the lighter colored cookie over the chocolate one, but won’t pass up on the chocolate one if that’s the only one available.

The biscuits are all natural, cholesterol free, made with no added salt or fat and also free of coloring and preservatives.

In my sample box, I received the following flavors:  Original, Sesame, Choconut, Gingerspice, Chocolate Cherry and Cinnaroma.  Since I have received these samples, I can truly say that I have eaten at least 4, sometimes 8 of these a day.  I am now addicted and have went to their store locator and was able to find out that my state carries them at Walmart and Trader Joes.  This is truly a product that I will purchase on a regular basis.  The kids do not want to try them because of the Almonds, but I love them and they work on my Weight Watchers Plan.  The key to sitcking to my Weight Watchers Plan is to always have snacks around that won’t cost me too many Weight Watchers Points that I like to eat.  If I let myself run out of low point snacks, my Weight Watchers plan could go out the door that day, so I stay stocked up.

My favorite way to eat their Almond cookies is with my morning fat free hot chocolate.  Since reviewing these cookies, this has become my new favorite breakfast for the crisp, cool mornings.  I see a personal trainer throughout the week and I took her a package of these Almondina Biscuits.  Here’s what she had to say about them: “I had 3 of the almond cookies yesterday:  2 for breakfast and 1 later as a snack.  Both times I thought they tasted really good.  I liked the thinness and crispness of them the most.  Then the small part of the chewy raisin just made it.  For me, they were a little sweet for breakfast, but way batter later in the day for a sweet snack.

If you are looking for a great healthy snack, I would encourage you to check them out.  You can read more about them at http://www.almondina.com/

  1. These sound really good and I would love to try them–but I have to watch my carbs so I think that instead of trying to win them I will look for them the next time I am at Trader Joe’s!!

    1. Michele, I just looked up the carbs for you and the original ones have 21.5 grams. I have never went to Trader Joes, since it is such a newly opened store, but it looks like I am going to have to check them out!

  2. I try a combination but everyone wants their favorites. I have healthy and not so healthy available and we do eat both.
