Blackberry cobbler is one of my holiday favorites!
Easy Pie Crust:
- 2 1/4 Cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 Cup crisco plus 2 Tablespoons
Cut Crisco into the flour mixture then add 1/3 cup plus 2 Tablespoons COLD water Roll out 1/2 of the dough for making the bottom crust in a 9 X 13. Lightly flour the bottom crust.
Filling Ingredients:
- 1 Quart fresh blackberries
- 1 Stick of butter
- 2 Cups sugar
Add a quart of fresh blackberries with 2 cups sugar in the bottom of the pan on top of the crust. (*Triple Crown Blackberries are the best) Dab a stick of butter on top of the blackberries and add the top crust and sprinkle sugar on top. Bake at 400 degrees for about an hour.
This dish looks delicious and very easy to cook.
It is delicious and has less ingredients than expected.
