Every girl wants to look great. We spend hours worrying over and caring for our hair, our skin, and our bodies, yet one of the most important parts of a girl’s appearance tends to sometimes become neglected or uncared for.
Your nails are an important part of your overall beauty. Not only are long, healthy nails incredibly feminine and beautiful, but painted nails can jazz up any outfit. Whether you’re on your way to a business meeting or a doctor’s appointment, a fresh coat of nail polish can brighten up your appearance.
Unfortunately, many women notice that nail polish begins to chip easily once it has been applied. If you happen to use your hands before the polish dries completely, you may also notice that you get an unsightly polish smear. Fortunately, there are a few ways you can expand the lifespan of your nail polish.
First off, make sure you always wait until your nails have dried completely before using your hands. Use as little nail polish as possible when you do apply the polish. Remember, a little bit of nail polish goes a long way. If you apply the polish too thickly, it will chip more easily. Once your nail polish has dried thoroughly, apply a thin top layer of clear polish to add a glow to your nails, but also to prevent added chips or cracks in the nails. For the best results, apply a clear layer of polish to your nails every 2-3 days.
