DVD Releases March 2013

The latest DVD releases will give you and your family some terrific entertainment this Easter if the weather proves to be unreliable.  From action adventures to wonderful musicals, there is something for everyone of all ages among these fantastic DVD releases, or check out what’s on at the cinema in the coming weeks if you fancy getting out and about instead.

The Twilight Saga Complete Collection DVD (12) – 11^th March

The Twilight Saga has gripped love-struck teenagers across the world and now you can own the entire collection with this complete box set.  Including all of the films, this is a great Easter gift for older children.  The box set features the first Twilight film, depicting the first meeting between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and the mysterious Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson and follows through with The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 – Extended Edition and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Barbie in the Pink Shoes (U) – 18^th March

For more than 50 years, Barbie has been an icon of fashion and style and now she is coming to your home this Easter.  In this new film, Barbie takes on the role of Kristyn, a dancer in a ballet school who dreams of one day joining an established dance company.  Along the way she discovers a magical pink pair of ballet shoes that takes both her and her best friend Hailey into a magical ballet world-ruled by an evil Snow Queen.  Kristyn and Hailey must dance through their favourite ballets to defeat the Snow Queen and discover a way home. This is a must-have film for younger audiences and adults will recognize the famous dances from ballets such as Swan Lake and Giselle.

Room on the Broom (U) – 18^th March

Room on the Broom is a wonderfully charming tale from the creators of The Gruffalo.  It follows the story about a kind witch who invites a surprising collection of animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her loyal cat.  But the unusual group must forget their differences and work together when a hungry dragon sets his eyes on the witch.  Room on the Broom is a beautifully animated half hour film featuring an all-star cast and will delight children of all ages.

Peppa Pig Volume 19 (U) – 25^th Marc

Everyone’s favorite pink pig returns with her latest DVD and she is just as curious and loveable as ever.  Including 10 fantastic episodes, including the 4 part special ‘The Holiday’, children and adults will love these charming tales as you follow Peppa, George, Daddy Pig and Mommy Pig on their adventures.

Rise of the Guardians (PG) – 25^th March

Rise of the Guardians is fantastical adventure that the whole family will enjoy, telling the story of a group of heroes – each of whom are gifted with extraordinary abilities.  When an evil spirit known as Pitch attempts to take over the world and destroy everything they hold dear, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect everyone they care about.  Featuring an impressive all star cast, including Jude Law, Hugh Jackman and Chris Pine, this is a great family film that both young and old can enjoy.
