Spring Break At The Rodeo

Thursday – Spring Break Day 4- was “get caught up day” because we had big plans to go to the Houston Rodeo all day on Friday.  We cleaned the house, did laundry and got ready for the rodeo.  Friday morning we woke up and left the house at breakfast time and were gone until 1 am.  We all made it back home with full bellies and blisters on our feet.

We started off at the rodeo walking through the carnival and the indoor shopping.  We had a blast and then hit the food stands where we had fried catfish, shrimp, French fries and corn dogs.

The kids rode their favorite rides and I hopped on the ferris wheel with them.  I had forgotten how it felt to be so high up in the air and felt a little queasy.  I pulled out my phone and started snapping pictures for you to see the view of the Houston Rodeo Carnival from the highest point of the ferris wheel.

I also rode the bumper cars and the tall wavy slide with the kids.  It was fun and everyone had a blast.

Next came the actual rodeo where we saw barrel racing, bronco riding, rodeo clowns, bull riding and more.

It was a fun Spring Break and time to get a little rest this weekend so we can be ready to go back to work and school.  What did you do on Spring Break?  If your Spring Break hasn’t hit yet, what do you plan on doing?
