“Sassy” Summer Solution At SassySarongs.com

With summer right around the corner, I couldn’t help but dread the thought of packing away my comfy, shape-shrouding winter clothes and bringing out all those revealing pieces that naturally come with warmer days and sunshine. While I love going to the beach or swimming in the pool, I am probably like most women my age in that I’m really self-conscious about walking around in a bathing suit. It’s not like I’m strutting my stuff in a string bikini, even those mom-friendly, skirted suits can sometimes show more skin than I’m comfortable flaunting. Which is why I HAVE to share what I’m calling my “Sassy” summer solution!

sunYes, I take my computer everywhere, but my family would be so irritated at me if I took it to the beach!

I was recently online in search of an appropriate swimsuit to bring to Disney this summer when I came across a fantastic and trendy way to ease my worries and look fashionable all at the same time:  Sarongs. Yep, those fabulous fabric wraps that a lot of celebrities, like Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, and Sofia Vergara, have been spotted in lately. I started searching for sarongs online, and I was so excited to find one retailer who has all of the sizes, colors, and styles that I love. The company is Sassy Sarongs, and they have a rainbow of cover-ups that fit all sizes. They’ve recently added even more plus sizes to their inventory, which is great since those sizes are sometimes so hard to find at department stores. They also carry two different lengths and come in a wide array of patterns and fabrics, from rayon and georgette to gauze and crochet.

The sarongs that I liked the most come from their Essentials Collection. All of these pieces are made from soft, comfy rayon, are under $20, and offer 100% non-see through coverage.  Definitely all big plusses in my book!

Pink Damask Long Dress

Wouldn’t this one be perfect to wear at my son’s birthday pool party or while walking on the beach?

But wait… I haven’t gotten to the best part yet! All of the items at Sassy Sarongs retail for $40 or less, with many under $20! And that’s for name brand sarongs from top swimwear designers like Echo Beach, Pia Rossini, and Santiki. They also have a huge selection to choose from , with over 150 different sarongs, all priced competitively to the extent that they will even price match if you find one of their styles sold elsewhere for less! Their sarongs are also available through Amazon.com, which is really convenient for me since I already have the Amazon app on my phone, so ordering is super-easy.

I’m super-excited to order a few of these pieces from Sassy Sarongs. I’m already eyeballing an adorable yellow fringed one, and will probably also choose a traditional black one that goes with everything. Which one is your favorite?

  1. I love sarongs! I actually own 2 which I wear around the house–I buy the long so I can tie above my bust line and it drapes down to below my knees! Perfect for those very hot days when I do not want to wear clothes at all but really have to cover up somewhat!! They have some really pretty ones–I especially like the striped one in multi colors!

  2. LOVE it – it adds a little sensuality and sexiness to the normal ‘swim’ attire.. Love the color choices and how versitile they are… oh and super-affordable! Great post! Thank you

  3. Sarongs are SO perfect for someone like me! I’m super self-conscious these days about my weight and hate putting on a bathing suit, but I love going to the beach. This is the perfect solution! Thanks for letting me know about this company – they’ve got so many to choose from, it’s going to be hard for me to pick! 🙂
