Dakota was given this product in order for me to facilitate my review. All opinions are mine and mine alone.
Meet Dakota, sadly this is her first real dog bed, not because I haven’t tried, but because she eats them all. She has a fetish for “cheap” pillow filling. I can’t tell you have many low price pillows she has eaten at my house. I gave up on dog beds awhile back and got her a carpet runner instead until I found the Wash’nZip Pet Bed. I was able to review their large dog bed and Dakota gives it a paws up! She is 60 pounds and has all sorts of room on this bed. If you’d like to see what size Wash’nZip Pet Bed your furry friend would need, you can find that HERE.
I can tell you that through much experience with Dakota, that this bed is made of quality materials or it would have been in shreds the first night she slept on it. Since acquiring this Wash’nZip Pet bed, I have learned that most dog beds are stuffed with loose filling, but the Wash’nZip Pet Bed is made of sheets of batting which are sewn into the outer seams and box stitched. This assures that the interior filling won’t shift and the dog bed will always hold its’ shape.
Before I wrote this review, I wanted to test this bed out in the laundry. This is the first dog bed that I was able to was the entire bed and not just the outside cover. It fit in my washer and when it came out of the dryer, it was just as it was when it first arrived at my door. It was in perfect shape, how impressive! This was keep her bed completely clean and I won’t have to worry about the clumps that come with the stuffed pillow beds. Thank you WashnZipPetbed.com!
Here’s Dakota again, with her favorite blanket and her stuffed animals that she carries around the house with her. In this picture, I have unzipped the bed and it is laying flat where it can be used as a larger floor cover or blanket. This size is great for covering your furniture or placing in your car when you travel with your dog. You could also use the Wash’nZip Pet Bed as a crate pad, for flea protection, for pet odor control or for laying in the floor with your dog. I know that everyone says don’t let your child lay on that dirty pet bed, but all kids want to and you can assure that this bed is clean because you can wash the entire bed as much as you’d like.
Here’s the other side of Dakota’s bed when it is unzipped and laid out. We can either use the fluffy animal print side or the plain side as the top of her bed when it is zipped up. I quickly learned that Dakota had better use the plain side as her bedding cover because she thought it was one of those nice fluffy blankets like the one she drags around the house and chews all day. But that’s ok, the boys in the house didn’t care for the animal print as much as I did, so they were quite pleased when Dakota preferred to lay on the plain side.
Here’s the bed when it is zipped up with the animal print on top. I went with this design because I thought it would look nicer longer and hide any stains that may occur. But after reviewing this bed, I see that this will not be an issue, because washing this bed is so simple. It is made of rugged materials. It has quality stitching, layers of cushion, and a heavy duty, quality zipper. It is very easy to zip up and launder and the perfect answer to pets with incontinence.
Bobby and Dakota give their sign of approval on the Wash’n Zip Pet Bed.
