Have you ever heard of a “blog lurker?” That is someone who lurks around and reads posts but never makes themselves known through any type of participation or comments. Would you call yourself a blog lurker or do you like to involve yourself in the comments / conversations that occur on blog posts or Facebook threads? I love it that you frequent my site and read my posts, but I would love it even more if you’d leave me a comment so I can meet you. My love for writing BlogWithMom is heightened each time I meet a new follower. I have talked to so many people that I see on an everyday basis at school or at the gym that say they read my blog posts, but I have never seen a comment from any of them. I even had someone call me to ask me how my dog Dakota was doing with her new dog bed after they had read “Dakota Says You WANT to Win The Wash’n Zip Bed.”
Yes, please call me, but each comment brings another smile each time I come across a new one. Some people believe that it is better to be seen and not heard, but online, it is much better to be heard and not seen, after all, no one truly sees anyone online. That’s the beauty of it, you can enter giveaways in your pajamas, chat with people without worrying about fixing your hair or your makeup, just be yourself and enjoy great company. I love meeting new people and learning about their experiences, pregnancies, doctor’s visits, day to day challenges and their personal goals.
The next time you read an inspiring post or one that made you laugh or even cry, treat the blogger and leave them a comment. That will make their day!
