What’s On Your Christmas Wish List?

Children like to make wish lists for Santa every year, but what do you do as an adult?  Have you made your wish list to yourself yet?  What are some wishes you have for yourself?  Do you wish you were a better cook?  Do you wish you spent more time with your family?  Do you wish you paid more attention to your needs as opposed to everyone else’s?  Whatever your wishes are, write them down!

Material objects are great and they keep us entertained, but they don’t keep us happy.  Sure, that new computer will keep you busy for a few months but will it make you feel any better about your cooking?  Is it taking family time away from you?  I am not saying that owning nice things is bad; I am just saying to make sure you take time out of your day to do something for you!  After all, you deserve happiness just as much as the next person.

Head to your local bookstore and pick up a new cookbook or attend a local cooking class.  Designate Tuesdays as family board game night – no electronics allowed!  Promise yourself that you will take a night off of cleaning and spend it reading a book or taking a nice relaxing bath with candles and soothing music.

If you like to work from home often, and accomplishing goals makes gets you more excited than a bubble bath then make a work wish list and stick to it!  Personally, I love making lists for my daily routines.  Getting to scratch something off of my list does make me happy and it is a huge relief at the same time.  Whatever you decide to do, make sure you are making yourself happy at the same time. You are important, too!  So, what’s on your list?
