Ourpact App Review: Parental Control & Device Management

As a parent, my number one priority is to keep my child safe in every situation possible.  This includes out in public and within our own home.  A huge safety concern with children is always the internet and what they have access to, as well as the time frame they have access to it.

Ourpact is a new app that has just been developed and it aids in keeping children safe when they are using their tablet/smartphone.  I am sure you have heard of parental control settings when it comes to the television and subscription services such as Netflix and Hulu.  Now, there is an app that you can download on your device that allows you complete parental control over your child’s tablet or smartphone!  Once you download the app to your device, you can then link it to your child’s device and start the process of parental control!

Ourpact allows you to block particular apps you find inappropriate, block the internet and set a scheduled time your child is allowed to use their device.  For example, if there is an app that allows in-app chatting with people from all over the world, you may find that to be inappropriate for your child and you can block them from being able to use it!  There are two types of blocks with the Ourpact app.  You can manually block an app that takes effect immediately, or you can schedule a block so they can only use the app during a certain time of day.

One of the best features about this app is the scheduled time setting.  You can manually set a time they are allowed to use their device during the day/night, and that ensures that they will not be staying up late past their bedtime playing on apps or surfing the internet!  You can also block all social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat, etc.  Those sites and apps open up a ton of opportunities to interact with strangers and dangerous people, so this app is definitely a lifesaver (literally and figuratively) when it comes to keeping our children safe!
