Homemade Natural Beauty & Spa Treatments

You might have a built-in spa in your home and not even know it!  Have you ever heard of a Milk Foot Soak?  Just add 4 cups of warmed whole milk, two tablespoons of Epsom salt and six drops of your favorite essential oil.  I really love Lemon essential oil!  It smells amazing and it has a natural relaxing factor to it.  After mixing your ingredients, let your feet soak for twenty minutes. Your feet will thank you!

Do you have some stains on your teeth that you would like to remove without paying the hefty fine to actually remove them?  No problem, grab a ripe strawberry and half a teaspoon of baking soda.  Mix it together and grab your toothbrush.  Apply the mixture on your teeth with your toothbrush and let it sit for five whole minutes.  Once the five minutes is up, brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste.

Here is something that might sound a little less appealing, but it’s a GREAT facial cream.  Mash half of a ripe banana until it is creamy.  Apply the creamy mashed banana on your face and leave it there for fifteen to twenty minutes.  Rinse it off with warm water, then use cold water on your face to close your pores. Pat your face dry with a washcloth.  How does it feel?

If you are looking for a great (smelling) facial scrub, grab some honey, oats, finely ground almonds, and some lemon juice or yogurt.  Combine one tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of finely ground almonds and two tablespoons of dry oatmeal plus some of the lemon juice or yogurt.  Exfoliate into your skin and massage it gently.  When you are done, rinse it off with warm water and use your favorite moisturizer after!
