#Giveaway Smithsonian Book Set For Kids ENDS 7/13

I received the following Smithsonian book set for kids from silverdolphinbooks.com & The Smithsonian Institute to use in facilitating my review.  All opinions are mine alone.

Smithsonian Books

The prizepack for this Smithsonian Book Set Giveaway  is valued at $108 ARV and consists of  everything shown above:

  • Smithsonian Discover: Earth,
  • Two sets of Smithsonian Everything You Need to Know Fact Cards: Grades K-1 & Grades 2-3,
  • Under The Sea Smithsonian Sticker Creations,
  • Dinosaur Smithsonian Sticker Creations,
  • Smithsonian Young Explorers: 50 States Puzzle

Smithsonian Earth

My son is now 9 and has always loved these kinds of books.  He loves the great pictures, facts and activities.  This book is recommended for ages 8 & up and includes a poster, fact cards and even a 3-D globe for us to build.

Smithsonian cards

Out of everything in this box, he opened the fact cards up first.  He will be in the 3rd grade, so he went for the yellow box which is geared towards 2nd and 3rd graders.  I checked out the K-1 box and encouraged him to check those out but he is so proud of himself for his latest reading accomplishments that he only gave the K-1 box a few minutes of his time before he was back digging deep into the 2nd – 3rd grade box.

Since the beginning of his school years, reading has been very hard for him.  We had him tested, sent him to tutoring, etc. and had no idea why he was having so much trouble reading and writing until this past December when a test revealed that he was dyslexic.  Since then, the school put him in daily dsylexia training and his reading and writing has skyrocketed and he is so proud of himself!  Now that he can read, he thinks these great fact books are even cooler!

Smithsonian sticker books

These sticker books definitely caught my attention.  They are  for ages 6 & up and perfect for our summer roadtrips.  Did you like sticker books when you were a kid?  These stickers are even reusable!

State puzzle

This puzzle will definitely come in handy.  Do you remember having to memorize the states, their capitols and their locations when you were in school?  We’re definitely going to spend some time this summer working with this puzzle.  This is recommended for ages 6 & up and also comes with fun fact book.

Thanks to Silver Dolphin Books and their publishing partner, The Smithsonian Institute, one lucky U.S. winner will be randomly drawn to win this awesome Smithsonian book set for kids!  Don’t miss this one, these books are sure to bring smiles to your little one!
