How far have you travelled outside of your local area? Toronto, Cananda is the farthest that I’ve ever traveled outside of the United States. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to venture off a little farther away. For now, I just have to read up on the areas I’d like to travel to one day. Here’s some info on Eastern Asian cities – Enjoy!
South East Asia is really at its best in the month of September, when the really high temperatures and the high levels of humidity that are common throughout the summer season are over and you’re left with fresh air and mild conditions that are perfect for touring all of the incredible historical and modern sights. Plus, the valley passes and the highest mountains are more easily accessed at this time of year and all of the popular tourist attractions are still open.
But what cities in South East Asia are the best ones to visit throughout September? Continue reading to learn tips that will help you plan an unforgettable trip.
Beijing
One of the best travel destinations in all of China, Beijing is definitely a great choice for those who are looking for a place with plenty of history and culture. As a centre for economic, political, and cultural activities in the country, Beijing has a lot of must-see attractions, but some of the most beloved include the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, a variety of amazing temples and imperial palaces, and many outdoor spaces, such as Jingshan Park, which are all naturally breathtaking.
Singapore
During the month of September, you can expect that the exciting city of Singapore will experience lower levels of humidity and a lower average rainfall than other areas in Asia. This means that you can enjoy outdoor activities without having to worry about inclement weather getting in your way.
Some of Singapore’s top attractions include the Singapore Flyer, the National Orchid Garden, Chinatown, the Changi Chapel and Museum, and Sentosa Island, to name just a few. There is so much to do and see, and plenty of yummy food to eat while you’re there. Just remember to bring a camera and a great pair of sunglasses like designer Tom Fords so you can appreciate everything that the city has to offer every day.
Denpasar
Denpasar is the capital of Bali, and it’s a cultural hub that provides visitors with a long list of activities that they can enjoy, especially if you want to do things in the great outdoors. The natural beauty that surrounds you in Bali is definitely breathtaking, and some of the top attractions in Denpasar, in particular, include the Turtle Conservation and Education Centre (TCEC), the Sakenan Temple, the Bajra Sandhi Monument, the Bali Provincial Public Museum, and the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest, to name just a few.
When you’re done exploring the city, you can check out the rest of Bali, with its majestic volcanic mountains, colourful coral reefs that are ideal for snorkelers and divers, pristine beaches for getting a great tan, and its yoga and meditation centres.
As you can see, there are many different cities that you can visit throughout South East Asia, particularly during the temperate month of September when the heat and humidity has died down and you can walk outside and enjoy outdoor activities while remaining comfortable and without having to fear rain getting in the way of your plans.
