Do you have any exercise equipment in your house? Does it get used or does it collect dust or is it being used as a coat hanger? We have a nice elliptical machine in our home that my husband bought for himself to use several years ago. It was used for awhile, then it turned into a large dust collector. Then I had knee surgery and part of my physical therapy was to spend a little time each day on an elliptical so my husband moved the machine to our bedroom. His thoughts were for me to have easy access to the machine right from our bedroom. I used it for awhile during recovery, then again, it became a dust collector.
Once the cold weather set in this winter, I decided that it was time to bring the elliptical back to life. I didn’t have a lot of time to make it to the gym and I sure didn’t want to jog on the trails in the cold, so the elliptical machine sounded like the perfect answer. So, now if I have time to go to my group fitness class, I always opt for that because I enjoy it so much, but if not, then I hop on the elliptical. This has worked quite well for me, now that I am busy getting our car wash business up and going. I can easily take conference calls, turn my phone on mute and listen in over the speaker on my phone while I ride the elliptical. Then I can also check emails and take personal phone calls as well at the same time. This allows me to get my workout in and still be available to answer emails, text and phone calls if needed. Granted, the intensity would be higher if I were focusing on the elliptical, but any movement is better than none at all!
