For starters, what to change, when to change it, and how much to spend towards the alteration or alterations can take time to decide.
If you’re thinking that you want or need a new look, here are some areas to zero-in on:
- Hair – One of the easiest items to change is your hair. Whether you want a new style, different shade (or even shades) of color, AiryHair extensions or a number of other changes, the sky is the limit. One nice thing about changing the color or style of your hair is that you can always return to your original look and feel if you’re not thrilled with the change;
- Face – While different kinds of makeup can certainly present a different look, more involved changes typically revolve around cosmetic surgery. If you opt for the latter, you could end up paying a fair amount of money out-of-pocket, especially since most insurance companies consider it to be an elective procedure or procedures. Another area to think about is such surgeries will leave you with a different look. While that is hopefully a good thing, going back to your original look can be all but impossible. Give such a decision much thought before opting for facial cosmetic surgery. A much easier (and less expensive) means would be trying different lipsticks, eyeliners, and other products to see what best tickles your fancy. Yes, doing so may not bring the major change you might be in search of, but it is not as expensive and allows you plenty of other options down the road;
- Clothing – One of the easiest changes in getting that “new” you is your fashion. Finding that much desired look can be vexing at times, but never give up on it. Look to your family, friends, and co-workers to see what styles and looks work for them. Given that fact that no two women are the exact same sizes and shapes, you may have to do a little extra searching for find the clothes that best fit you. If you combine some new clothing styles with a new hairstyle and other alterations, you may truly find the real you;
- Diet and fitness – Many women these days simply aren’t satisfied with their current weight. Stop for a minute and think about all the responsibilities moms have on a daily basis. From raising children to working, the days can seem much too short when it comes to the hours needed to get everything done. If you’re looking to shed some of those pounds, focus on your diet and fitness. When it comes to your diet, keep a watchful eye over the daily calories you take-in. Consider using a calorie counting app. Also, consider adding a side of vegetables to your dinner plate and dropping the daily or weekly fast food. When it comes to fitness, there are a variety of options to take advantage of. From walking to hiking to home exercises, there are many ways you can cut down on your weight and keep your heart and other organs healthy at the same time.
The most important thing when it comes to making changes to your look is that you’re doing it for the right reasons. Make sure that YOU are the one who wants to make a change in your look, and you aren’t doing it because of any outside pressure.
If you aren’t sure you’re ready to change your look substantially, start slow, and try a new outfit or even a new pair of shoes. See what you like, and then the sky is the limit!
