.
My dad has cooked his turkey in a large roasting pan as seen above for years and has always said that they was the only way to go, but he had turkey at his sister’s house and he said it was SO tender that I should ask her about it. Since he said it was so great and using a crockpot is always so helpful, I sent an email over to find out more about this simple turkey crockpot recipe.

Here’s my Aunt Linda’s response:
All you do is thow your turkey breast in the crockpot on high along with a stick of margarine, salt, pepper and allow it to cook all night.  It is really good this way and is always very moist and tender.  I usually use a 8 or 9 pound turkey breast each time I make this recipe.  I hope you enjoy it as much as your dad did.

After learning about this quick and simple turkey crockpot recipe, it sounds like I need to get to the store for a 8 or 9 pound turkey.  This would be a great way to have a nice meal ready by using the crockpot and throwing together a few sides.  I have been very busy lately and our suppers have consisted of quick sandwiches, etc. so a change of pace at dinner time would be appreciated by us all.  Once we have the inital turkey dinner, we’ll have lots left over for our favorite turkey leftover dishes.

I am always looking around for meals that would save time, please the family and come in handy when I am short on time.  I happened to be over at Mommy Edition and found a fun article that you may be interested in reading, make sure you check it out!
