I listed our GFY Carwash job opening online at Workable.com which in turn listed my job opening on multiple job search sites including indeed.com. As we progressed through our interviews, I asked each applicant which online site they had applied on and Indeed was almost always mentioned. As both an employer and an employee searching for a job, this is a great FREE place to go in order to quickly post a job, post a resume or preview and apply for jobs in your area.
Once you are on the Indeed.com homepage you can list keywords to find the job title, or company name that you are searching for as well as the ability to list your city, state or zip code to narrow down your search. They also have an easy to use advanced job search option as well. Once you begin using this site to locate jobs, it will keep your recent search history for you so you can easily come back to jobs you located in the past. Indeed.com will also recommend jobs for you based on prior searches.
As an employer, I would rather use the Workable.com program if I were hiring enough employees to justify the monthly Workable.com program cost because I really liked their set up. As an employee, I would definitely use Indeed.com to submit my resume and quickly apply for jobs that interested me. Indeed.com is a free program and can be the perfect place to start your job search. It definitely saves time and gas money when you can search for jobs online without driving back and forth across town.
