Meet my dad Rocky Anderson! He’s from Kentucky, is a jack of all trades and makes the best ribs ever! I want to try my hand at this recipe so I grabbed pictures and all the details. If your family likes ribs, test this recipe out and they’ll think you’re a rib master!
You’ll need the following:
- Short rack of ribs cut up in small sections
- Montrose Chicken Seasoning
- Salt
- Pepper
- BBQ sauce of your choice
- Deep roasting pan
Directions:
Cut the rack(s) of ribs into small sections of 2 or three ribs as seen in the image below. Add about an inch of water to the roasting pan and add the rib sections. Season them with salt, pepper and Montrose Chicken Seasoning. Cook these in the roasting pan with the lid at 275 degrees for 3 hours or until tender. When done, the meat should fall off the bone.

Once the ribs are done, remove them from the roasting pan and place on a sheet pan like seen below. The ribs can sit out for a bit if you aren’t ready to eat yet or you can move forward with the BBQ basting step.

Dad’s done it again, the meat is falling off to the bones and it’s time finish up them up on the grill. He warms the grill, bastes the ribs with the sauce and cooks them for another 10 minutes making sure to flip the rib sections so that he can baste both sides. This makes for warm, and juicy BBQ ribs that your family is sure to love! If you don’t have a grill, you can warm them up in the oven instead. This process is meant to warm the meat and let the sauce sink in.

Great job as always dad! I can’t wait to test this recipe out myself!
Ever since I was a little girl I have followed him around, learning as we go. He has taught me so many things, from how to use tools to tricks for making the best ribs, etc. Thank you Dad, you’re the best!
