After a little bit of digging, I found my high school senior picture which she had made with my sister and I. Before she passed, she gave us each a nicely framed 8 X 10 and I was lucky to find wallet sized photos as well which I used to create my photo projection necklace.
Vintage photos naturally have a slightly softer focus so if you are using an old photo, the projection from your pendant will also have that vintage, softer look. If you’d rather have a projection that is crystal clear, you’ll need to have a recent photo that has a sharper view. Photos that have a clear contrast from the background and the faces will have a more recognizable projection if you would like to use a vintage photo like I did when designing your pendant.
